A Manger Moment Day 17

A Manger Moment

Holy Hush

Days had grew long and treacherous while nights had become dark and gloomy for the Israelites. 400 years had passed since a prophet had come to bring forth a word from the Lord. Being set free from the Egyptians had started to become a blur faded into their memories. Romans and other empires taunted and ruled over them. Sadducees and Pharisees put limitations on their religious freedom. Tired and defeated they tried hopelessly to cling to the words of old from the prophets and their ancestors. The world had become loud and chaotic, and to be be frank, life was hard. In the midst of it all, was a cry of victory. The sound from the lungs of an infant whimper silenced the world.

No matter where you are, what season you’re in, what you’re facing, whether it be addiction, depression, hopelessness, desperation—allow that same source of purity to silence the chaos in your life and bring a holy hush over your soul.

Your freedom wasn’t given to you just for a moment of redemption, but it is an every day continuation of His plan for man kind. From a cradle to the pit of your darkest moments, He’s here. This Christmas, Walk in the liberty that He has given. It’s still available in the Holy Hush that can still be found in this season, no matter how loud the world is.

 Merry Christmas.
