Day 24

Will you follow His will?

Matthew 26:37-39 New Living Translation (NLT)
37 He took Peter and Zebedee’s two sons, James and John, and he became anguished and distressed. 38 He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” 39 He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
Have you heard from God during this fast?  Are you willing to do what He has asked you to?  It is perfectly normally to feel overwhelmed and emotionally upset at what God has put in your path.  He wants your compliance.  Here at Crossroads I know that God is calling us to step in faith like never before.  Church, it is not easy.  However, yesterday God reminded me that when we pray His will over our lives that He becomes our source.  And where He directs no man can stop.  Jesus himself was emotionally messed up for a moment as He grappled with the plan of God for His life.  The key to Him submitting to God the Father was His prayer life and His willingness to do GOD'S PLAN no matter the cost.

No matter the cost, no matter the pain, endure and continue on God's path because the time of suffering is short-lived and the rewards of obedience to Him is eternal.  You will look back and not remember the agony because the Joy that awaits outshines the heart ache.

I love you, keep fighting, keep following!!!! - His WILL not mine!!!!
