What We Believe

What We Believe

The Holy Bible

The entire Bible is inspired by God. It is the highest authority of truth. It is without error and is eternal. (2nd Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Hebrews 4:12)

Jesus Christ

Jesus is the Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified, buried, and resurrected from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is interceding for our sins. (John 1:14, 1st Timothy 3:16, 1st Timothy 2:5, Philippians 2:5-11)

Salvation is a gift from God, not to be obtained by our works, but by faith in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, John 3:16, Titus 3:4-7, Acts 16:31)

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit was promised to come down when Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven. The Holy Spirit exalts the ways of Christ and guides believers to truth. We believe that the fruits of the Spirit are most effective when one is Spirit-Filled. We believe in exercising the spiritual gifts that God has given us in an orderly way. (1st Corinthians 12:1-11, 14:1, 14:26-33)

We believe in One God existing eternally in three persons: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, Luke 1:35)

We believe that all are born into sin, and all fall short of God’s Glory. But that through repentance and faith in Christ as Jesus commanded, we are forgiven of our sins and thus redeemed. (Romans 5:12-21)

The Blood

We believe that when Christ was crucified, His blood was sinless and was adequate to cleanse the sins of all humanity. That justification, and new life comes through faith in the blood that was shed and the salvation of Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 9:22-26)

We believe that the opportunity for healing in the name of Jesus is available for all as was illustrated by the life and actions of Jesus. (Psalms 103:3, Isaiah 53:5, Mark 16:17-18, James 5:14-16)

Water Baptism

Water Baptism is a commandment of Jesus that He participated in while on this Earth. It is the symbolic testimony of change that occurs spiritually when one is saved. We believe in baptism by immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, Acts 8:12, John 1:32-33)

Communion is a symbolic act. We believe communion represents the Lord’s Supper. The elements: Bread, representing the body of Christ that was broken on the cross, and Juice, representing the blood of Jesus that was shed, are taken in remembrance of His suffering on the cross for the world. (Matthew 26:26-29)

Second Coming

Jesus Christ will come to the earth again to establish His perfect and eternal Kingdom. (1st Thessalonians 4:15-17, 2nd Thessalonians 1:7-8, Revelations 1:7)

The church is the local body of believers that are unified through a common faith in Christ. It is committed to teach, disciple, and live according to the teachings and commandments of Christ found in the Bible. The church operates together in love; its sole purpose is to glorify Christ. (Matthew 16:18-19, Ephesians 1:22-23, Acts 2L41-47, 5:11-14)
