Still Growing!

Still Growing!

13 days ago when Logan was born, I was so Intrigued by her feet. They are so tiny, so soft, so kissible! It is pretty amazing how much I love those little feet as anyone else’s feet totally gross me out!

In this moment of awe- the nurse told me that our footprint, and fingerprint never change- they only grow. This fact was incredible to me. The design on Little Logan’s feet now will always be the same, Just will simply grow as she grows.

I thought about the Bible verse Psalm 139:13-16: “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”

We were intentionally created in our mother’s womb, created for our entire life’s purpose! We were born small, needing assistance to do everything- eat, use the bathroom, change clothes, etc. Yet we are not designed to stay that way, we are designed to grow. The same applies spiritually!

The Bible says “in Your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me.” The Lord has had a plan for us from the moment we were in our mother’s womb, but we have to be willing to grow! Sometimes growth is painful! When Logan begins to get teeth, it will likely be a painful process but it is a part of vital growth! Those teeth are already formed in her gums, but they have to cut through the gums to have any purpose

Spiritual growth often brings along with it discomfort. In these seasons of uncomfortable growth, remember that whatever God has for you to grow into has always been inside of you- but if it doesn’t manifest it can never be used for God’s glory!

Allow growth to happen today! Don’t stunt your spiritual growth by being afraid of discomfort! The Lord’s works are wonderful and His ways are perfect- your growth will magnify His glory into all the world!

Have a great week!
