When we think about the 4th we normally think fireworks, swimming and grilling out. But the 4th stands for so much more. The declaration of our freedom which in other words is our independence and liberty. Freedom from tyranny. Freedom from political bondage. Freedom to worship who or whatever. This country has been blessed and as an American you should be thankful.
Do we get so sidetracked that we forget the wonderful meaning of July 4th?
As Christians, have we forgotten our freedom in Christ? Are we too busy with the details of the Christian life that we have lost the driving force behind our freedom?
I encourage you to slow down and remember why you have been set free. Take time to thank God for freedom and celebrate the making of strong life established in Christ. If you are battling and you feel like you are in the trenches dug in and fighting the battle over addiction, declare according to the Word of the Lord that you ARE FREE!
“So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.”
John 8:36 NLT
“So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.”
Galatians 5:1 NLT
Don’t pick up what God has cast off of your life. Leave it in the discard pile and continue to allow God’s Word to reshape your life.
I am proud to call you family,
Here are some quotes about the 4th that I love. Enjoy
